Thank you very kind people. I got a little more beginners luck tonight. The second side bent well, though I wonder if the electric side bender might have not gotten as hot as yesterday. No matter, it worked! I do understand why Cumpiano says it may take two days to do two sides. It's a bit nerve wracking and tedious. And that's if comes out satisfactorily. I still have some nice curly Koa to bend for the body bindings. I don't plan on binding the neck or headstock. I'm glad some many of you are willing to share your experience. It's really great and I thank you!

Thx, Mike. I just used water, which is what is making it shine. It is really beautiful, rich reddish/chocolaty BRW. I can't wait to see it finished. I still haven't figured out how I'm going to finish it yet. Definitely looking for advice there.

I'd personally use lacquer, but no matter what you use, as long as you do it well that'll look real nice.
